August 19 (SeeNews) - Croatian privately-held do-it-yourself and consumer electronics retailer Pevec said on Monday it will open a shopping centre in Slavonski Brod, some 200 kilometres east of Zagreb.
The new shopping centre will be opened at the current location of retailer Konzum's store which Pevec has acquired from Dutch fund WPC Agro II, the company said in a press release.
The facility is currently in a takeover phase. The official opening of the shopping centre is scheduled for later this year.
"After our new retail centre in Vukovar which we will open soon, a time has come to modernise our centre in Slavonski Brod. The new centre will have a richer offer and will spread on 5,035 square metres", said Jurica Lovrincevic, CEO of Pevec.
Earlier this month, Pevec said it will open a retail centre in the city of Vukovar which will spread on 2,200 square metres.
The opening of the new shopping centre is part of the company's strategy to be present in all Croatian towns with a population of 15,000 and over.
