October 7 (SeeNews) - Croatian privately-held do-it-yourself and consumer electronics retailer Pevec said on Monday it opened a 45 million kuna ($6.7 million/6.1 million euro) retail centre in the city of Vukovar.
The retail centre spreads on 5,000 square metres of net sales area, Pevec said in a statement.
Its construction marks the beginning of a larger project for a 10,000 square metres retail park, which will be opened next year, the company added.
The project was launched in July when Pevec bought a building in the Vukovar economic zone.
The company also said that the construction works on its new retail centre in the neighbouring town of Vinkovci have been in progress, as well as the revamp of its Slavonski Brod centre, also in the eastern Slavonia region.
The investments are part of Pevec's strategy to be present in all Croatian towns with a population of 15,000 and over.
