May 27 (SeeNews) - Croatian fertiliser producer Petrokemija [ZSE:PTKM] said on Thursday it will shut down its ammonia and urea manufacturing plants from May 28 to June 11 for planned technical maintenance.
The shutdown will enable the optimisation of mineral fertilizer production according to market demand and allow the necessary repair and maintenance of equipment in order to minimise the risk of unplanned shutdowns during the autumn season, the company said in a bourse filing.
It added that sufficient quantities of all types of mineral fertilizers have been secured to maintain the supply of domestic and regional markets.
Petrokemija's shares traded 3.23% lower at 60 kuna ($9.7/8 euro) on the Zagreb bourse by 1305 CET on Thursday.
