December 21 (SeeNews) - The municipal government of Croatia's Pasman island is inviting bids from potential investors interested in implementing a development project which includes turning the southern part of the island into a tourism destination.
"All interested investors with financial capacity and experience in designing, building and managing tourist complexes are invited to apply for participation in the international tender for the selection of an investor for the realization of the Pasman Rivijera tourist development project", the municipal government said in a public call.
The project area covers approximately 260 ha with 100 ha of tourist zones, 5 ha of service logistics zone and 155 ha for agricultural and horticultural purposes.
The master plan of the project is drafted, and the municipality has already adopted its spatial plan and designed the access road to the project area.
The most favourable bidder will obtain the right to execute the project by acquiring a share in the Pasman Rivijera project company. It will also have the right to contract the lease of agricultural and horticultural real estates in the immediate vicinity of the tourist zones, for a period of 99 years.
The deadline for the submission of bids is March 9.
