April 29 (SeeNews) - Croatian technology provider for First Person View (FPV) Orqa said it is acquiring for an undisclosed sum Switzerland-based drone technology startup ImmersionRC to create a European Union-based drone powerhouse.
“With the acquisition of the IRC portfolio, Orqa now has one of the most complete drone technology portfolios in the world,” Orqa CEO Srdjan Kovacevic said in a statement on Thursday.

ImmersionRC has been specialising in advanced electronics for a decade and is one of the pioneers of the FPV in drone space.
Orqa was set up in Croatia in 2018, and is designer and manufacturer of building blocks for drones and expertise in low latency video systems and next generation VR/AR headsets for remote control of unmanned platforms and enhanced vision capabilities. ImmersionRC CEO Tony Cake will join the Orqa team as chief technology innovation officer.
All existing IRC products will continue to be sold, developed and supported.
