July 29 (SeeNews) - The share indices of the Zagreb Stock Exchange (ZSE) fell on Monday, as telecommunication services provider Optima Telekom [ZSE:OPTE] paced the blue-chip losers, bourse data showed.
Optima's shares closed 3.57% lower at 5.40 kuna.
Optima Telekom said on Wednesday it recorded a consolidated net profit of 5 million kuna in the first half of 2019, compared to a net loss of 3.9 million kuna a year earlier.
Shipbuilding company Viktor Lenac [ZSE:VLEN] led the blue-chip gainers, as its shares rose by 1.52% to 5.60 kuna.
Adris Grupa [ZSE:ADRS] generated the highest trading turnover among the blue-chip companies on Monday, of 6.8 million kuna, thanks to a block transaction in that amount.
Adris said on Friday its first-half consolidated net profit edged down 1% on the year to 181 million kuna.
Turnover on Monday was also boosted by a 2.6 million kuna block transaction in Hrvatski Telekom [ZSE:HT] shares.
HT said on Thursday its first-half consolidated net profit fell 1.2% on the year to 435.3 million kuna.
ZSE's total trading turnover jumped to 14.2 million kuna ($2.1 million/1.9 million euro) on Monday from 4.7 million kuna on Friday.
The 25-share benchmark index CROBEX lost 0.32% to 1,921.71 after rising 0.48% in the previous trading session.
The narrower of the ZSE's two blue-chip indices, the CROBEX10, which tracks the leading companies in terms of free float, market capitalisation and liquidity, decreased by 0.28% to 1,114.32 after increasing 0.60% on Friday.
The fixed-income CROBIS index added 0.02% to 116.0380.
