ZAGREB (Croatia), December 14 (SeeNews) - Croatian fixed and mobile telecommunication services provider Odasiljaci i Veze (OiV) has launched an Internet of Things (IoT) network that covers the cities of Zagreb, Split, Rijeka and Osijek, it said.

The network is based on the Long Range Wide Area Network (LoRaWAN) technology that enables the development of smart cities, smart buildings, and smart agriculture, the Croatian company said in a statement earlier this week.

The IoT network also offers the latest solutions for meter readings, gas meters, smart public lighting management, parking control and monitoring, indoor and outdoor air quality measurement, smart waste management and GPS tracking, OiV said.

OiV, based in Zagreb, provides complete radio and television broadcasting, audio-visual content and data distribution, fibre optic lease as well as co-location services.
