September 4 (SeeNews) - Croatia-based construction materials manufacturer NEXE Group said on Monday it decided to halt as of mid-September the production of ceramic tiles at its Polet Keramika factory in Novi Becej, in northern Serbia, as part of its corporate strategy to optimise its business portfolio by 2030.
Polet Keramika will fulfil its obligations to buyers and suppliers, and at the same time, the management is intensively considering alternative operations at this location, including development of new production activities, NEXE Group said on its Likedin profile.
The group approved at the end of 2022 an eight-year strategy to adjust to the market environment and ensure long-term development and sustainability of its business.
Part of the employees of Polet Keramika will continue working for other members of NEXE Group in Serbia, and the rest will be offered compensations.
