March 7 (SeeNews) - The main equity indices of the Zagreb Stock Exchange (ZSE) ended in the red on Tuesday amidst a lower turnover, bourse data showed.
The 18-share CROBEX lost 0.32% to end at 2,259.36 points. The narrower index CROBEX10, which tracks the top ten issuers in terms of free float, market capitalisation and liquidity, declined 0.18% to finish at 1,293.27 points.
Software company SPAN [ZSE:SPAN] was the most traded company with a turnover of some 309,000 euro ($326,000) as its shares gained 3.81% to end at 49.10 euro. It is part of the wider index.
Croatia's largest seaport operator, Luka Rijeka [ZSE:LKRI] was the biggest daily gainer on Tuesday, ending 8.62% higher at 9.45 euro in a turnover of 49,000 euro. It is not part of the blue-chip indices.
On Tuesday, the Poslovni Dnevnik daily reported that according to unofficial estimates, oil and gas company INA [ZSE:INA] is going to invest some 10 million euro to build a new port within its existing oil refinery in the Adriatic town of Bakar near Rijeka. The economy ministry decided last week that the project to build the new port is acceptable from an environmental point of view.
Rarely-traded INA ended 0.45% higher at 448 euro on Tuesday as 10 shares changed hands.
The bourse's total trading turnover fell to 1.1 million euro from 1.3 million euro on Monday.
The prices are quoted in both euro and kuna.
