March 13 (SeeNews) - The main equity indices of the Zagreb Stock Exchange (ZSE) dropped on Monday as all of the blue chips ended in the red, bourse data showed.
The 18-share CROBEX shed 1.05% to end at 2,247.05 points. The narrower index CROBEX10, which tracks the top ten issuers in terms of free float, market capitalisation and liquidity, lost 0.85% to finish at 1,286.61 points.
Software developer SPAN [ZSE:SPAN] was the most traded company with a turnover of some 351,000 euro ($377,000) as its shares went down 0.41% to end at 48.90 euro. It is part of the wider index, but as of March 20 will be also a member of the narrower blue-chip index.
Hotel owner Turisthotel [ZSE:TUHO] ranked second by turnover with 166,000 euro. Its shares appreciated 1.69% to close at 600 euro on the news that the country’s financial regulator, HANFA, has approved the launch of a takeover bid by shipping company Tankerska Plovidba for the 60.66% interest it does not already own in it. The price that Tankerska Plovidba offers to pay is 610.53 euro per share.
Turisthotel, which is not part of the main indices, was the only gainer among the top 10 companies by turnover on Monday.
The bourse's total trading turnover plunged to 1.7 million euro from 3.1 million euro on Friday.
