January 12 (SeeNews) - The main equity indices of the Zagreb Stock Exchange (ZSE) rose by more than 1.20% each on Thursday to reach their record-high values since June last year, despite a decline of turnover, bourse data showed.
The bourse's total trading turnover fell to some 704,000 euro ($763,000) from 1.5 million euro on Wednesday.
The 18-share CROBEX went up 1.22% to end at 2,093.52 points. The narrower CROBEX10, which tracks the top ten issuers in terms of free float, market capitalisation and liquidity, climbed 1.31% to finish at 1,221.28 points. Both of them advanced for the fifth straight session.
Holding company Viro [ZSE:VIRO], which is not part of the main indices, was the most traded stock on the bourse, with a turnover of 144,500 euro, and the biggest decliner on Thursday as its shared dropped 21.50% to close at 8.40 euro on the news that its shareholders will vote on February 28 on a proposal to delist its shares from the Zagreb bourse.
Shares of electrical equipment manufacturer Koncar Elektroindustrija [ZSE:KOEI] appreciated 1.67% to close at 122 euro in a turnover of some 135,000 euro. In lower turnovers, shares of ICT solutions provider Ericsson Nikola Tesla [ZSE: ERNT] surged 4.39%, shares of food and pharmaceuticals company Podravka [ZSE: PODR] increased 3.80% and shares of index heavyweight Hrvatski Telekom [ZSE: HT] added 0.42%.
