November 21 (SeeNews) - The main equity indices of the Zagreb Stock Exchange (ZSE) ended lower on Monday, extending their losses for a second trading session in a row, bourse data showed.
The 19-share CROBEX fell 0.23% to finish at 1,898.46 points. The narrower index CROBEX10, which tracks the top ten companies in terms of free float, market capitalisation and liquidity, dipped 0.10% to close at 1,123.97 points.
The country's top lender, Zagrebacka Banka [ZSE:ZABA] was the most traded company with a turnover of 617,000 kuna ($84,000/82,000 euro). They fell 1.55% to end at 63.40 kuna.
Shares of another bank, Hrvatska Postanska Banka [ZSE:HPB] ranked second by turnover with 527,000 kuna. They shed 1.26% to close at 785 kuna. Both banks are part of the broader equity index, the CROBEX, but are not members of the narrower one.
Index heavyweight, food and pharmaceuticals producer Podravka [ZSE:PODR] declined 1.59% to end at 620 kuna in a turnover of 441,300 kuna.
The bourse's regular trading turnover reached 3.9 million kuna from 3.7 million kuna on Thursday. On Friday, the bourse was closed due to remembrance day for the victims of the homeland war and the victims of Vukovar and Skabrnja, a public and market holiday in Croatia.
