May 29 (SeeNews) - The main equity indices of the Zagreb Stock Exchange (ZSE) advanced on Monday thanks to gains in Podravka and Hrvatski Telekom, in a calm trading session ahead of the market holiday on Tuesday, bourse data showed.
The overall trading turnover fell to 613,000 euro ($657,000) from 1.2 million euro on Friday.
The 15-share CROBEX climbed 0.55% to end at 2,265.70 points, erasing its losses from Friday. The narrower index CROBEX10, which tracks the top ten issuers in terms of free float, market capitalisation and liquidity, gained 0.58% to finish at 1,302.45 points.
Civil engineering company Ingra [ZSE:INGR], which is not part of the main equity indices, was the most traded stock for the day, with a turnover of 106,000 euro. Its shares ended 2.0% higher at 3.06 euro as the company said on Friday that it would propose to its shareholders to skip dividend distribution for last year.
Shares of Hrvatski Telekom [ZSE:HT] rose 0.81% to close at 25 euro in a turnover of some 99,000 euro.
Food and pharmaceuticals company Podravka [ZSE:PODR] appreciated 0.82% to end at 98.60 euro in a turnover of some 89,000 euro.
On Tuesday, the bourse will be closed due to the National Day. The next trading day is Wednesday, May 31.
