November 20 (SeeNews) - Croatian port operator Luka Rijeka [ZSE:LKRI-R-A] has received part of the grants approved by the European Commission for the upgrade of Rijeka port's infrastructure, the company said.
Luka Rijeka received 1.8 million euro ($2.1 million) for upgrading infrastructure at Rijeka port's basin and a further 895,982 euro for similar works at Bakar port's basin, the company said in a Zagreb bourse filing on Monday.
In July 2017, Luka Rijeka said it was granted 34 million euro under the Connecting Europe Facility (CEF) for two projects aimed at renovating and upgrading the infrastructure at the port of Rijeka.
The CEF funding will cover 85% of the total cost of the two projects.
