July 29 (SeeNews) - Croatian port operator Luka Rijeka [ZSE:LKRI] said its net profit rose to 34.4 million kuna ($4.7 million/4.6 million euro) in the first half of 2022, from 10 million kuna a year earlier.
Total operating revenue reached 106.5 million kuna from 87.6 million kuna in the January-June period, while operating costs rose to 88.7 million kuna from 84.3 million kuna, Luka Rijeka said in a consolidated financial statement filed with the Zagreb bourse on Thursday.
Sales revenue increased to 97.4 million kuna from 72.7 million kuna.
The port operator handled 3.369 million tonnes of cargo in the first six months of 2022, up 18% on the year.
Luka Rijeka's shares were the biggest gainer on the Zagreb bourse intraday on Friday, as they were quoted at 42.40 kuna, up 12.77%.
Rijeka, situated in the northern part of the Kvarner Bay, is the largest seaport in Croatia.
