December 12 (SeeNews) - Croatian retailer Konzum, a member of ailing concern Agrokor, reported earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortisation (EBITDA) of 429.5 million kuna ($65.9 million/58.2 million euro) in the ten months through October, above the 285.8 million kuna plan, Agrokor said.
Konzum's EBITDA margin was 5.8% and revenues totalled 7.465 billion kuna, Agrokor said on Tuesday in an interim financial statement quoting preliminary figures.
Total revenue is slightly above plan due to a higher number of transactions and average value of consumer basket.
Overall, the companies in Agrokor's retail and wholesale segment, which also includes Konzum's Bosnian unit, newsstand operator Tisak [ZSE:TISK-R-A] and wholesaler Velpro, recorded EBITDA of 429.6 million kuna in the ten months through October, above the planned figure of 400.9 million kuna. The combined revenue of Konzum, Tisak and Velpro totalled 11.137 billion kuna.
