September 11 (SeeNews) - Croatian retailer Konzum, a member of ailing concern Agrokor, reported earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortisation (EBITDA) of 231.4 million kuna ($36.1 million/31.2 million euro) in the seven months through July, above the 135.7 million kuna plan, Agrokor said on Tuesday.
Konzum's EBITDA margin was 4.6% and revenues totalled 5.045 billion kuna, Agrokor said in an interim financial statement quoting preliminary figures.
Total revenue is slightly above plan due to a higher number of customers.
Overall, the companies in Agrokor's retail and wholesale segment, which also includes Konzum's Bosnian unit, newsstand operator Tisak
[ZSE:TISK-R-A] and wholesaler Velpro, recorded EBITDA of 223.5 million kuna in the seven months through July, above the planned figure of 176.2 million kuna. The combined revenue of Konzum, Tisak and Velpro totalled 7.534 billion kuna.
