December 6 (SeeNews) - Croatian oil pipeline operator Jadranski Naftovod (Janaf) [ZSE:JNAF-R-A] said it plans to strengthen its position on the Mediterranean spot market and has made investments in this direction.
The revamp of Janaf's terminal in Omisalj has created a new and strong energy supply center in the Mediterranean, on the Adriatic spot market, board chairman, Dragan Kovacevic, said in a statement on Tuesday.
The company is focused on contributing to the security of energy supply in South Eastern and Central Eastern Europe and will develop projects based on this goal, Kovacevic noted on the sidelines of international energy and oil conference organised by Janaf.
Janaf has terminals in Omisalj, on the island of Krk, as well as in Sisak, Virje, Slavonski Brod and Zitnjak, and operates 622 kilometres of pipelines. It has 1.54 million cu m of storage capacity for oil and 202,000 cu m of capacity for the storage of petroleum products.
