January 9 (SeeNews) - Croatia's trade deficit rose to 65.7 billion kuna ($9.8 billion/8.8 billion euro) in the first eleven months of 2019, from 63.6 billion kuna in the comparable prior-year period, the country's statistical office said on Thursday.
Exports increased 5.5% on the year to 105.1 billion kuna in January-November, while imports rose 4.7% to 170.8 billion kuna, the Croatian Bureau of Statistics said in a statement, citing preliminary data.
Croatia's exports to the EU rose to 72.2 billion kuna in the review period, from 68.6 billion kuna a year earlier. The country's imports from the EU grew to 136.9 billion kuna, from 126.9 billion kuna.
