December 1 (SeeNews) - Croatian shipping company Jadroplov [ZSE:JDPL] said it has signed a deal with Swiss company Global One Energy to buy for $23.5 million (22.5 million euro) a liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) tanker which is under construction at the Japanese Sasaki Shipbuilding.
The ship should be delivered by the end of February, Jadroplov said in a filing to the Zagreb bourse on Wednesday.
According to an estimate by indipendant evaluation company VesselsValue, the value of the ship is $27.6 million. Jadroplov has already agreed to lease the ship for 2+2+1 year with unnamed global oil company.
Last month, Sasaki Shipbuilding delivered to Jadroplov LPG tanker Marko Marulic, whih is Croatia's first LPG ship and the sixth vessel in the company's fleet.
Jadroplov's shares traded 0.75% higher at 67 kuna on Thursday morning on the Zagreb bourse.
