June 1 (SeeNews) - Croatian shipping company Jadroplov [ZSE:JDPL] said it signed an agreement on Wednesday to buy an LPG ship under cosntruction with Swiss investment holding company Irus Holding for $25.15 million (23.6 million euro).
The construction of the ship is under way in Japanese shipyard Sasaki Shipbuilding and has to be completed before the end of October, Jadroplov said in a filing to the Zagreb bourse.
The value of the ship is $27.7 million, according to an estimate by independent maritime value asesment company company VesselsValue from May 15.
The company will cover 35% of the cost of the deal with own funds and the rest with a bank loan.
Jadroplov has already signed a three-year lease deal for the ship with an option for two more years.
The company's shares traded at 71.50 kuna ($10.1/9.5 euro) on Wednesday afternoon on the Zagreb bourse, up 10.85%.
