March 17 (SeeNews) - Croatia's consumer price inflation slowed down to 1.5% year-on-year in February, from 2% in January, the country's statistical office said on Tuesday.
On a monthly comparison basis, Croatia's consumer price index (CPI) decreased by 0.3% in February, after falling at the same rate in January, the Bureau of Statistics said in a monthly inflation report.
Prices of food and non-alcoholic beverages, which have the biggest weight of 27.90% in the consumer basket, rose by 2.9% year-on-year in February, after adding 3.4% in January.
Housing, water, electricity, gas and other fuel prices (16.22% weight), grew by 1.1% on the year in February, following an increase of 1.6% in the prior month.
Croatia's average consumer price inflation slowed to 0.8% in 2019, from 1.5% in 2018 and 1.1% in 2017.
