September 11 (SeeNews) - Croatian companies INA [ZSE:INA-R-A] and Prvo Plinarsko Drustvo (PPD) are seeking clearance from Bosnia’s competition authority to acquire a stake of 53 to 55 percent in Croatian fertiliser producer Petrokemija [ZSE:PTKM], the regulator said.
Although all three companies are based in Croatia, the acquisition is expected to have an impact on the Bosnian market for production and sale of mineral fertilisers, the Competition Council of Bosnia and Herzegovina said in a statement last week.

The competition authority called on all relevant parties to give their thoughts on the acquisition.
In May, Petrokemija said it has received a joint expression of interest under its call for recapitalisation from oil and gas company INA and Prvo Plinarsko Drustvo.
Privately-held PPD deals in the import, sale, supply and distribution of natural gas.
The Croatian state controls a stake of 79.85% of Petrokemija.
