July 19 (SeeNews) - Croatian oil and gas company INA [ZSE:INA-R-A] said on Friday it has reported to the Hydrocarbons Agency the discovery of a gas ledge at the Severovci-1 boring in the exploration area DRAVA-02, some 120 km north-east from Zagreb.
The examination measured the amount of 53,000 cubic metres of gas per day, INA said in a press release.
The drilling of the boring lasted for four months, as INA reached a final debt at Severovci-1 of 3,410 metres.
"We are happy for the positive result at Severovci-1 as it is a confirmation for the quality works as well as knowledge and experience of INA's experts. Croatia is our most important area within the exploration and production of oil and gas activity, so it is our goal to put in production all existing potentials from the country. We are interested in further investments in exploration activities which could lead us to discovery and production," said Tvrtko Perkovic, INA's operative director for exploration and production.
INA has invested some 100 million kuna ($15.2 million/13.5 million euro) in DRAVA-02 so far.
