January 19 (SeeNews) - Croatian oil and gas company INA [ZSE:INA-R-A] said on Thursday it will analyse in cooperation with Deloitte consultants strategic options for sustainable business operations at its Sisak refinery.
"Being fully aware of the challenges INA's refining business has been facing over the past few years, despite considerable efforts made so far to optimize the production process, there is a clear need and a clear responsibility on the company management’s part to make a strategic decision about the future operation at Sisak site in the near future," INA said in a statement.
Local media recently speculated that Hungary's MOL may close down Sisak refinery which would cost Croatia hundreds of jobs. MOL holds a 49% stake in INA, while the Croatian state, as the second biggest stakeholder, has an interest of around 44%.
