January 17 (SeeNews) - Croatian fertilizer producer Petrokemija [ZSE:PTKM-R-A] said on Wednesday oil and gas company INA will cut its gas supply on January 18 over billing problems.
Petrokemija has had problems with paying for the natural gas already supplied by INA, hence INA is suspending further supplies, the company said in a filing to the Zagreb Stock Exchange.
Local natural gas supplier Prvo plinarsko drustvo is set to take over as Petrokemija's supplier for the next seven days, so that the fertilizer producer can continue its operations uninterrupted.
"Production and delivery of mineral fertilisers will run smoothly, according to the quantity and dynamics agreed with buyers," Petrokemija noted.
It added that new information will become known over the next seven days.
The government controls some 80% of Petrokemija.
