January 8 (SeeNews) - Constellation Software Inc., through its wholly-owned division Vela Operating Group and its subsidiary Aquila Software, has acquired Croatia's IN2 Group, a regional software industry leader, the group said.
Constellation Software, a global group based in Toronto, aims its acquisitions mostly at companies who have potential or already are market leaders in software for different industries, IN2 Group said in a statement on Friday.

"The acquisition of IN2 provides a continued step in our commitment to the IT solutions within the region. We are excited about the quality of the people and the clients of IN2," Mike Byrne, CEO of Aquila Software, said in the statement.
Zagreb-headquartered IN2 is one of the first major Croatian software only companies, founded 25 years ago.
"My wish is that IN2 becomes a truly global company in the coming years, and I believe our new owner and strategic partner, Constellation Inc., is the right choice for this new big phase in the company’s lifecycle. Finally, and just as important, clients in the Croatian market and in the region remain IN2’s focus," Ante Mandic, founder and chairman of the board of IN2, said.
Constellation Software was founded in 1995. Through a combination of acquisitions and organic growth, it has grown into a company with more than 13,000 employees in more than 200 companies on five continents.
