October 3 (SeeNews) - Croatia's biggest telecommunications operator, Hrvatski Telekom [ZSE:HT-R-A], held 387,756 of its own shares as of Wednesday, representing 0.474784% of the company's issued share capital, it said.
On October 1, Hrvatski Telekom (HT) acquired 1,212 own shares at 153.5 kuna ($23.9/20.7 euro) apiece, while on October 2 it repurchased 235 shares at 154 kuna, the company said in a filing with the Zagreb Stock Exchange.
Prior to launching its share buyback programme on July 3, 2017, HT owned 2,966 of its shares. On March 28, HT withdrew 218,471 acquired shares without nominal value, without decreasing its share capital which totals 9.8 billion kuna.
Following the withdrawal, the total number of HT shares decreased to 81,670,064 from 81,888,535.
The telco aims to purchase up to 2.5 million of its own shares by April 20, 2021 under the share buyback programme. It plans to spend up to 500 million kuna to finance the share buyback.
HT serves 875,000 fixed lines, 2.24 million mobile subscribers, and 624,000 broadband connections.
