February 15 (SeeNews) - Croatia's biggest telecoms operator, Hrvatski Telekom [ZSE:HT-R-A], said it is dismissing 200 employees in order to ensure sustainability for its future development and growth.
Within its transformation process, HT has identified a surplus of workers and intends to terminate their employment contracts on business-related grounds by March 31 2016, the telco said in a bourse filing on Friday.
HT added it is offering its employees severance payments, as well as programmes for professional retraining.
Deutsche Telekom is Hrvatski Telekom's biggest shareholder with a stake of 51%.
