January 12 (SeeNews) - Croatia's Hrvatski Telekom [ZSE:HT-R-A] said on Wednesday is holding 338,259 of its own shares, representing 0.422573% of the company's issued equity capital, after it bought back a total of 4,581 shares in transactions concluded on January 10 and 11.
Hrvatski Telekom bought back 3,473 shares at a weighted average price of 185.2879 kuna ($28/24.6 euro) apiece on Monday, it said in a filing with the Zagreb Stock Exchange (ZSE).
On Tuesday, the company bought back 1,108 shares at a weighted average price of 184.6128 kuna per share.
Hrvatski Telekom said in April it plans to buy back up to 3 million of its own shares by 2026 under a programme that aims to withdraw shares that have no nominal value without reducing the share capital.
The company also said back then it will offer some of the repurchased shares to its employees.
Since the beginning of the year Hrvatski Telekom has withdrawn 718,720 own shares without reducing its share capital.
Thus, it has cut the overall number of outstanding shares from 80,766,229 to 80,047,509.
The telco's shares traded unchanged at 185 kuna intraday on Wednesday on the ZSE.
