November 10 (SeeNews) - Croatia's Hrvatski Telekom [ZSE:HT-R-A] said on Wednesday it is holding 296,429 of its own shares, representing 0.370316% of the company's issued equity capital, after it bought back 372 shares on November 8.
Hrvatski Telekom bought back the shares at a weighted average price of 185 kuna ($28.4/24.6 euro) apiece, it said in a filing with the Zagreb Stock Exchange (ZSE).
The company said in April it plans to buy back up to 3 million of its own shares by 2026 under a programme that aims to withdraw shares that have no nominal value without reducing the share capital. The company also said back then it will offer some of the repurchased shares to its employees.
Since the beginning of the year HT has withdrawn 718,720 own shares without reducing its share capital. Thus, it has cut the overall number of outstanding shares from 80,766,229 to 80,047,509.
The telco's shares traded at 186 kuna intraday on Wednesday on the Zagreb bourse, up 0.27% from Tuesday's closing price.
