February 20 (SeeNews) - Croatian fertiliser producer Petrokemija [ZSE:PTKM-R-A] said on Tuesday state-owned power utility Hrvatska Elektroprivreda (HEP) has become its new natural gas supplier in addition to existing suppliers.
HEP will "deliver the required amount of gas in the coming period," Petrokemija said in a filing to the Zagreb Stock Exchange.
The company already has gas delivery contracts with local company Prvo Plinarsko Drustvo and oil and gas company INA.
Earlier on Tuesday, Petrokemija reported a non-consolidated net loss of 146.8 million kuna ($24.4 million/19.7 million euro).
On Monday, Croatia's minister of state property, Goran Maric, said that Petrokemija can only operate for a month without a fresh capital injection.
Petrokemija said in December it will increase its capital by up to 450 million kuna to up to 492.9 million kuna by issuing new shares.
The government controls some 80% of Petrokemija.
