April 24 (SeeNews) - Croatian state-owned energy utility HEP said it has put into operation an ELEN electric vehicle charging point in the municipality of Gospic, in the country's western region.
HEP now operates some 50 ELEN charging stations and plans to build a network throughout the country and establish a system for their remote control and supervision in the next few years, it said in a statement on Monday.
With co-financing from EU funds, HEP is also preparing to open fast charging stations along the TEN-T motorway corridor.
The EV charging stations HEP is developing under the ELEN brand are part of a project called eMobilnost that is being implemented in line with the EU energy strategy.
