March 30 (SeeNews) - Croatian state-owned power utility HEP said on Thursday it has signed a contract for gas supply to households with oil and gas company INA [ZSE:INA-R-A], meeting its obligations as a supplier on the wholesale gas market.
"The agreement's initialing is a responsible move on behalf of the company's management board, which meets the interests of HEP, the consumers, household gas suppliers and contributes to the stability of the gas market", HEP said in a statement published on its website.
In a separate statement, INA announced that the contract relates to the delivery of 500 million cubic metres of natural gas from April 1, 2107 to April 1, 2018.
Earlier this month, INA announced the signing of a contract with HEP for the sale and purchase of gas for electricity production purposes, under which 138 million cubic metres of natural gas will be delivered from October 1 this year to October 1, 2018.
