December 28 (SeeNews) - Croatia's government said on Thursday it has included fixed and mobile telecommunication services provider Odasiljaci i Veze (OiV) and gas transmission system operator Plinacro among companies of strategic interest that do not have to transfer a portion of their 2017 profit into the state budget.
Following the government decision, OiV will be exempt from allocating 21.6 million kuna ($3.4 million/2.9 million euro) to the budget, while Plinacro will retain 113.3 million kuna, the government said during its regular session aired on its website.
In May, Croatia's government said that a majority of strategic companies will have to pay 60% of their net profit into the state budget.
According to local media, the companies will invest the funds in their development.
