May 5 (SeeNews) - Croatia's general government debt reached 46.543 billion euro ($51.3 billion) in January, from 45.615 billion euro in the same month of 2022, central bank figures showed.
On a monthly comparison basis, general government debt increased 1.0% in January, according to data published by the Croatian National Bank last week.
In January, the domestic component of general government debt increased by 26% on the year to 37.720 billion euro, while the external component fell by 5.6% to 14.822 billion euro.
Croatia joined the eurozone as its 20th member as of January 1 this year.
