March 26 (SeeNews) - Croatia’s Erste&Steiermarkische Bank said on Monday its net profit rose 28% on the year to 830 million kuna ($126.3 million/111.9 million euro) in 2018.
The bank's net interest income remained flat at 1.7 billion kuna, while net fee and commission income added 4.5% to 465 million kuna, Erste&Steiermarkische Bank said in a filing to the Zagreb Stock Exchange (ZSE).
The bank is proposing to distribute a dividend of 17 kuna ($2.6/2.3 euro) per share from its 2018 profit, it said in another filing with the bourse. A year earlier, Erste&Steiermarkische paid out a dividend of 9.43 kuna per share.
The bank's total assets amounted to 61.4 billion kuna at the end of 2018, or 7.3% more than a year earlier.
Deposits totalled 47 billion kuna on December 31, up 11.11% year-on-year.
Austria-based Erste Group Bank AG holds a 59% stake in the Croatian bank, while the remainder is in the hands of Austiran Steiermaerkische Bank und Sparkassen AG.
The bank employs 2,500 workers and serves to 865,000 clients.
