November 4 (SeeNews) - Croatian telecommunication equipment manufacturer Ericsson Nikola Tesla [ZSE:ERNT-R-A] said on Wednesday it signed a 370 million kuna ($57 million/49 million euro) deal to implement the central software platform for the e-health system in Belarus.
The planned duration of the project is two and a half years years, with the contract also including a three-year warranty period, Ericsson Nikola Tesla said in a statement.
The deal was awarded by the scientific and research centre for medical technologies controlled by the Belarusian health ministry, and is part of a World Bank project for the modernisation of Belarus' healthcare system, the statement read.
The project is financed by a loan from the World Bank.
"The fact that the World Bank recognized us as a quality partner shows that our focused strategy in this segment, as well as many years of our company’s investments in creating a strong team of experts with the necessary knowledge, brings new success," Ericsson Nikola Tesla president, Gordana Kovacevic, said in the statement.
Sweden's Ericsson owns 49.07% of the Croatian company.
Ericsson Nikola Tesla's shares traded 0.70% higher at 1,440 kuna by 1220 CET on Wednesday on the Zagreb bourse.
