September 28 (SeeNews) - Croatian telecommunications equipment manufacturer Ericsson Nikola Tesla [ZSE:ERNT-R-A] said on Thursday it has signed a 35 million kuna ($5.5 million/4.7 million euro) agreement with the interior ministry to continue the upgrade of the state border control system.
Ericsson Nikola Tesla will work on the project in a consortium with Tehnomobil Securitas and Dat-Con, it said in a filing with the Zagreb bourse.
The new order involves the delivery of six locations, equipped for border control, in addition to already delivered seven locations, thus completely covering the border between Croatia and Serbia.
The implementation of the project will start immediately and is scheduled to be completed within two months.
In 2016, Ericsson and the interior ministry signed a 48 million kuna deal for the delivery of a border control system in the Vukovar-Srijem and Split-Dalmatia counties.
Swedish telecommunications equipment giant Ericsson owns 49.07% of the Croatian company.
