December 4 (SeeNews) - Croatia's Enikon Aerospace plans to build a new factory for interior parts for commercial and business aircraft in the north-eastern town of Vukovar, the local authorities said.
Enikon Aerospace and Vukovar town officials signed on December 3 a contract for the lease of a land plot located in the area of Business Innovation Centre Vukovar (BIC Vukovar), the local authorities said in a statement on Tuesday.
"In Vukovar, we will work on expanding our production capacities, planning to launch a new investment project and create 200 new jobs in the forthcoming period," the head of Enikon Aerospace, Marko Josip Andrijanic, said in the statement.
"We are also creating an opportunity for business cooperation with local companies and suppliers from various segments," Andrijanic added.
The company has one plant in Croatia - in the capital Zagreb, and three plants in Germany - in the cities of Laupheim, Hamburg and Schwabisch Hall.
According to the statement, Enikon Aerospace now employs 650 workers.
