September 14 (SeeNews) - The overall revenue of the Croatian market of electronic communications rose 2.3% on the year to 5.6 billion kuna ($745 million/ 745 million euro) in the first half of this year, the country's telecommunications regulator, HAKOM, said.
Investments in very high capacity networks rose 45% to 312 million kuna and investments in base transceiver stations increased 56% to 313 million kuna in the first six months of 2022 compared to the same period of last year, HAKOM said in a statement on Tuesday.
Revenue from broadband access to Internet went up 6.5%, revenue from rents of networks increased 3.1% and revenue from paid TV services rose 3.8% in the period under review. Revenue from broadband access to Internet made up 47% of the overall market revenue int he first half of 2022.
The fixed-line segment of phone services marked an annual 1.4% drop in number of users and a 5.7% annual decline in total revenue in the second quarter of this year.
