June 8 (SeeNews) - Croatian producer of fresh and deep frozen desserts and bakery products EKOS will invest 37.5 million Croatian kuna ($6.1 million/5.0 million euro) to increase its production capacity, the company said on Tuesday.
The investment is planned with regard to the company's strong growth and the development of its business in this category, EKOS said in a statement.
The investment will be financed from the company's own sources and will create some 50 jobs.
The new production facilities will be built in several phases at the company's existing plant in Donji Kraljevec in the Medjimurje county, in northern Croatia, and will start operating in April 2022.
The planned capacity expansion follows an increase in exports to over 15 million kuna last year. The company exports its produce to the neighbouring countries, Austria, Germany, Lithuania, Finland, Cyprus and the Canary islands.
