July 13 (SeeNews) - Croatia's D-Resort Sibenik, located on the Adriatic country’s coastline, said on Thursday it has become a member of the international association Small Luxury Hotels of the World.
By becoming a member of this association, D-Resort Sibenik hopes to open up new markets and draw in a larger number of guests, which will lead to further developments of the resort, it said in a statement.
The resort was first opened in 2015 by Dogus Group Croatia, a unit of Turkish conglomerate Dogus Group.
In the first seven months of this year, D-Resort Sibenik recorded 81% more overnight stays compared to the same period last year, due to increasing interest from guests from the UK, the Benelux countries, Germany and Croatia.
D-Resort Sibenik features a 69-room upscale hotel and three exclusive villas. It is part of Dogus Group Croatia's D-Marin Mandalina yacht marina, which holds 429 sea berths, 50 on land and has unlimited draft.
