February 13 (SeeNews) - Croatian power exchange CROPEX said on Monday it has launched member testing for the implementation of the intraday trading platform.
With the successful completion of the member testing, CROPEX will officially announce the go-live date of the first Croatian organised intraday market, it said in a statement.
"After CROPEX day-ahead go-live in February 2016, and its successful operation in the last year, the launch of CROPEX intraday market provides further benefits in trading and portfolio optimisation to CROPEX members," the power exchange noted.
By starting a local intraday electricity market in Croatia, CROPEX as a nominated EU NEMO power exchange has achieved a necessary precondition for further participation in the European cross-border intraday coupling project (XBID).
Agreements on cooperation and implementation of technical solutions for establishing the intraday market were signed between CROPEX and Nord Pool on November 28, 2016. The official admission process for current and new CROPEX members to its intraday market started on January 1, 2017.
