April 6 (SeeNews) - The number of people who died from the novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19) in Croatia has increased by one to 16, while the number of confirmed infections increased to 1,222 as of midday on Monday, up from 1,182 a day earlier, the Croatian Institute of Public Health, HZJZ, said.
At the same time, the number of those who have recovered from the disease rose to 130 from 125, HZJZ said in a statement posted on the government-run website created to monitor the virus spread in the country.
A total of 36 patients have been put on assisted lung ventilation, it added.
The figures are based on the test results of 11,464 people.
The first person to test positive for COVID-19 in Croatia was registered on February 25.
