December 17 (SeeNews) - Croatia's consumer prices rose by 4.8% year-on-year in November, after increasing by 3.8% in October, the national statistical office said on Friday.
On a monthly comparison basis, Croatia's consumer price index (CPI) was up 0.7% in November, following an increase of 1.0% in October, the Bureau of Statistics said in a monthly inflation report.
The prices of food and non-alcoholic beverages, which have the biggest weight of 27.20% in the consumer basket, rose by 5.7% year-on-year in November, after adding 3.6% in October.
The prices of housing, water, electricity, gas and other fuel prices, which have 17.73% weight, went up 3.5% in November, following a 3.0% increase in October, 2.4%.
The country's central bank said on Wednesday it expects an average annual inflation of 2.4% this year and approximately the same rate next year.
In 2020, Croatia's average consumer price inflation slowed down to 0.1%, from 0.8% in 2019 and 1.5% in 2018.
