August 3 (SeeNews) - Croatia's consumer confidence index declined by 2.5 percentage points month-on-month in July and dropped by 21.4 percentage points compared to the same month of 2021, central bank data showed.
The index tracking consumer expectations went down by 4.8 percentage points on a monthly comparison basis in July, while in annual terms it fell by 32.4 points, according to figures published by the Croatian central bank last week.
The consumer sentiment index dipped 0.4 month-on-month and fell by 11.8 points year-on-year in July.
The consumers’ opinion about the development of the general economic situation in Croatia over the past 12 months improved by 2.2 percentage points month on-month and was lower by 13.3 points year-on-year in July.
Regarding their expectations about the economy in the next 12 months, consumers were less optimistic in July than they had been a month earlier, with the index down 4.0 points. Compared to July 2021, the index measuring the expectations about the economic situation plunged by 38.5 percentage points.
