March 2 (SeeNews) - Croatia's consumer confidence index fell by 1.3 percentage points month-on-month in February but was 4.8 points above its year-earlier level, the central bank said.
The index tracking consumer expectations worsened month-on-month in February, falling by 3.8 percentage points, whereas in annual comparison terms it rose by 4.9 points, the central bank, HNB, said in a monthly consumer confidence survey published on Friday.
The consumer sentiment index fell by a monthly 0.9 percentage points in February and rose by 6.6 points year-on-year.
Two of the indices remained in the positive territory, while one turned negative.
The consumers’ opinion about the development of the general economic situation in the country over the past 12 months worsened by 5.6 percentage points compared to the consumer survey conducted in January and was up by 5.5 points year-on-year.
Regarding their expectations for the next 12 months, consumers were less optimistic in February than they had been a month earlier, with the index losing 5.4 points, while compared to February 2019 it was up by 8.5 points.
