November 5 (SeeNews) - Croatia's consumer confidence index worsened by 3.4 percentage points month-on-month in October but improved by 2.7 percentage points compared to its year-ago level, central bank data showed.
The index tracking consumer expectations deteriorated by 2.7 percentage points on a monthly comparison basis in October, while in annual terms it was up by 3.3 points, according to data published on the website of the Croatian central bank.
The consumer sentiment index worsened by 6.1 percentage points month-on-month and declined by 1.3 points year-on-year in October.
At the same time, the consumers’ opinion about the development of the general economic situation in Croatia over the past 12 months worsened by 5.0 percentage points month on-month and improved by 2.6 points year-on-year in October.
Regarding their expectations for the economy in the next 12 months, consumers were less optimistic in October than they had been a month earlier, with the index falling by 0.1 points. Compared to October 2020, however, there was an improvement by 3.8 percentage points.
