December 23 (SeeNews) - Croatia's consumer confidence index improved by 1.3 percentage points month-on-month in November and was 2.2 points higher compared to the year-earlier level, the central bank said.
November was the fourth straight month of improving consumer confidence in Croatia, which last worsened in July.
The index tracking consumer expectations also improved month-on-month in November, growing by 1.2 percentage points, whereas in annual terms it improved by 0.4 points, the central bank, HNB, said in a monthly consumer confidence survey published on Friday.
The consumer sentiment index rose by a monthly 3.5 percentage points in November and rose by 6 points year-on-year.
Despite their increase, all three indices remained in negative territory.
The consumers’ opinion about the development of the general economic situation in the country over the 12 months to end-November improved by 2.6 percentage point compared to the consumer survey conducted in October and was up by 3.2 points year-on-year.
Regarding their expectations for the next 12 months, consumers were more optimistic in November than they had been a month earlier, with the index gaining 1.4 points, while compared to November 2018 it was up by 0.6 points.
